LS-150

The Konica Minolta LS-150 is a portable spot luminance meter that provides highly accurate luminance (brightness) measurement with a newly designed sensor whose spectral response closely matches the human eye's V(λ) photopic response curve. The LS-150 luminance meter features a 1° acceptance angle, through-the-lens SLR viewfinder for precise aiming, and measurement range from 0.01 to 999,900 cd/m². The LS-150 is a successor to the popular LS-100, with improved sensor accuracy and USB connectivity. It is widely used for measuring the brightness of displays, LED indicators, luminous signs, roadway lighting, architectural lighting, and any surface where precise luminance data is needed.

Measurement Principle of the LS-150 Luminance Meter

The LS-150 uses a TTL SLR optical system with a 1° acceptance angle to define the measurement area. A specially designed silicon photodiode with a V(λ) matching filter captures the luminance of the targeted area. The improved spectral response matching (f1' ≤ 3%) ensures accurate measurement across different light source types including LEDs, fluorescent, and incandescent sources.

Applications of the LS-150 Luminance Meter

Display and Screen Measurement

Luminance uniformity testing of LCD, OLED, and projection displays.

Outdoor and Roadway Lighting

Luminance measurement of roads, tunnels, parking lots, and exterior building lighting.

Architectural Lighting

Luminance verification of façade lighting, interior design lighting, and retail displays.

Q: What is the difference between LS-150 and CS-150?

A: The LS-150 measures luminance only, while the CS-150 simultaneously measures luminance and chromaticity (color). If you need color data, choose the CS-150.
