CM-25cG
The Konica Minolta CM-25cG is a portable spectrophotometer that combines simultaneous color and 60° gloss measurement in a compact, budget-friendly package. The CM-25cG spectrophotometer features d/8° integrating sphere optics with a double-beam system, 36-pixel photodiode array, and dual pulsed xenon lamps for accurate, repeatable color data across the full visible spectrum (360–740 nm). Its integrated gloss sensor measures 60° specular gloss alongside color, eliminating the need for a separate gloss meter in many applications. The CM-25cG is ideal for quality control in the automotive, plastics, paints, and food industries where both color and surface appearance must be evaluated simultaneously.

Measurement Principle of the CM-25cG
The CM-25cG shares the d/8° integrating sphere platform with the CM-26dG. Diffuse illumination from dual xenon lamps via a Spectralon sphere produces uniform light on the sample, while an 8° detector captures spectral reflectance from 360–740 nm. A dedicated 60° gloss sensor measures specular gloss simultaneously, providing a complete surface characterization in a single measurement.
Applications of the CM-25cG
The CM-25cG is ideal when both color and gloss quality must be assessed together: automotive paint shops, plastic molding QC, paint manufacturing, and food production where surface sheen affects consumer perception.
Q: What is the advantage of combined color and gloss measurement?
A: It saves time and reduces measurement error by capturing both parameters in a single operation, eliminating the need for separate instruments.
