CR-10 Plus

The Konica Minolta CR-10 Plus is a compact, affordable handheld color reader designed for quick go/no-go color decisions on the production floor. The CR-10 Plus color reader measures color in L*a*b* color space and calculates ΔE*ab color difference against stored target values, providing instant pass/fail evaluation. With its small, lightweight design, 8mm measurement area, and 8°/d (8° illumination, diffuse viewing) optical geometry, the CR-10 Plus is ideal for incoming inspection, production line monitoring, and field color verification. The CR-10 Plus stores up to 100 target and 100 sample data sets and connects to PCs via USB for data management.

Measurement Principle of the CR-10 Plus

The CR-10 Plus uses an 8°/d (8° illumination, diffuse viewing) optical geometry. An LED light source illuminates the sample at 8° and diffusely reflected light is collected by a silicon photodiode array with tristimulus filters. The instrument directly calculates L*a*b* color coordinates and ΔE*ab color differences.

Applications of the CR-10 Plus

Production Line QC

Quick pass/fail color checks on the production line without complex setup.

Incoming Inspection

Verify that incoming materials and components meet color specifications.

Field Service

On-site color verification at customer locations.

Q: How is the CR-10 Plus different from the CR-410?

A: The CR-10 Plus is a simpler, more affordable color reader for go/no-go decisions, while the CR-410 is a full-featured chroma meter with larger aperture and more advanced features.

Q: Can I program custom tolerance limits?

A: Yes, you can set custom ΔE*ab pass/fail limits for your specific application requirements.
